반도체 제조 시설 목록

The following is a list of factories that make semiconductors. Integrated circuits (ICs), known as microchips, are produced in semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
It is operated by the Pure Play foundry. Pure Play foundries produce designs from fabless vendors and do not develop ICs in-house. Alternatively, Integrated Device Manufacturers (IDMs) can design and manufacture ICs in-house and manufacture designs from design-only (fabless) organizations.
Some Pure Play foundries, such as TSMC, offer IC design services, while others, such as Samsung, design, produce, and sell their own ICs as well as ICs for their customers.

The major semiconductor manufacturing companies are:
TSMC – When launched in 1987, TSMC invented the semiconductor-only IC foundry business model. TSMC has manufactured more than 12,302 products and served approximately 535 customers across a variety of end markets, including smartphones, high-performance computing, Internet of Things (IoT), automotive and digital consumer electronics.
Samsung – Customers benefit from Samsung Foundry’s competitive process, design innovation, intellectual property, and mass production capabilities. All state-of-the-art process technologies consist of 3nm GAA, 14/10/8/5/4nm FinFet and 28FD-SOI with EUV technology starting at 5nm.
Texas Instruments – Approximately 100,000 customers worldwide use the analog and embedded semiconductors we develop, manufacture, test, and sell to build unique solutions for the industrial, automotive, personal electronics, communications equipment, and enterprise systems industries. .
UMC – UMC is a well-known company in the semiconductor foundry industry. The business provides premier IC fabrication services with a focus on logic and numerous expertise to meet the needs of all key electronics industries. The main R&D facility is in Taiwan, with secondary R&D facilities throughout Asia.
Global Foundries – Global Foundries, Inc. (GF or GloFo) is an international semiconductor contract manufacturing and design company headquartered in Malta, New York, USA. The entity was held privately by UAE sovereign wealth fund Mubadala Investment Company until its October 2021 IPO, when AMD’s manufacturing arm was sold.
Bosch – The company is the largest manufacturer of MEMS technology, one of the leading semiconductor manufacturers for mobility solutions, and one of the innovators in IP modules.

The clean room, the main area of the fab, is where all manufacturing takes place. Manufacturing times for more complex semiconductor devices, such as today’s 14/10/7 nm node, can reach 15 weeks with an average of 11-13 weeks. [2] To increase yield (the percentage of microchips on a wafer that are working properly), production in advanced manufacturing facilities is fully automated and performed in a sealed nitrogen environment. Automated material handling systems handle wafer movement between machines.
